From the date the firm was founded in 1691 until 1976, it has had a succession of single partner practices. The year 1976 marked a change when Christian Lefebvre and Bernard Mennesson became partners and the firm changed from an individual practitioner’s office into a professional partnership, and at the same time became more involved in the business world. In 1994, the firm launched the name “LBMB”, under the influence of Jacques Beghain, then a new partner, who was a lawyer with prior experience in the industry sector. At the time we were one the first firms to have a brand and a logo. The logo was updated in 2016 but the brand and the values it embodies remain the same.

LBMB has been certified ISO since 2009 for all of its activities and renewed its certification in June 2021.
Our teams predominantly include notary graduates recruited internally and former interns, whom we invest in and thoroughly train after they graduate.
In addition to internal monitoring of changes in the law, our teams regularly attend training sessions to ensure that our know-how is up to date, given the increased rate of legislative and regulatory developments.
